Can a sim get pregnant and there be no lullaby sound in the sims 3?

I had my two adult sims (not young adult) "Try for baby" twice. Neither time did the lullaby sound come up indicating my girl sim is pregnant. But the next morning she's nauseous. Is it possible she is pregnant? And yes, I had the sound turned up.
