Why are the people at Dell so incompetent?

I purchased my second notebook from them pre-loaded with the Ubuntu operating system, because it works without all the hle from the windows OS. When I made my order I went through and selected all my custom options, including the order of a printer that it recommended for my system. The printer was a Dell V305 which come to find out is completely incompatible with the system I ordered! You would think a fortune 500 company would do product testing before recommending a hardware purchase that is incompatible with the software option you've selected.
