In hinduism is worshiping demigods wrong? with the undersatnding of krishna is supreme?

in hinduism is worshiping demigods wrong example like lord shiva? with the undersatnding of krishna is the supreme,?,at first i was drawn to Lord Shiva ,performing his daily chants and trying to please him on mondays and that streached beyond and by later on self enlightenment i learned that Krishna is the sustainer and supreme,but my question is ..will my worship of lord shiva or any other demi gods is wrong?
