How do dentists put on braces !? Do they hurt ?

first of all, the orthadonstist fits them. i have had them since novemeber and you become used to the pain, its like aching and not that bad so that you can talk- you just have to be careful with what you eat. tbh your friends seem like there trying to scare you and if the teacher excuses them from talking thats pathetic :L all they do it take moulds of your mouth, then when they come back they glue the brackets (in your case the blue bits) to each individual tooth, then they put in the wire and ta daaa, your done. you go back every 6-8 weeks and each time the wire gets thicker and thicker- when they change the wire they cut it and pull it out, its easy and the new one is put on and when they do this they push it down and it clicks into place- this bit hurts but the next day your fine. nothing to worry about at all!
