Will antibiotics help heal my cats wound? thats what my vet said.?

The antibiotics should be to keep her from getting an infection not to speed the healing process. I dont know how large this wound is but if its a wound not a gapping hole or something it should heal just fine. My cat got attacted by a dog years ago and had no feeling left in his broken tail. His tail got badly infected & we actully had to cut his tail off and stich it at home our selves. (he didnt feel this) but it was a scary exsperiouns for me. Anyway i took care of his nub with alcohol and peroxide. and he heal fine. We had no money for a vet and he would have died if his tail was not removed. My point is just take very good care of his wound and he will be fine. Good luck.
